General Instructions

Installation

1. To minimize damage from cold weather on a water system, preventive winter maintenance is required. These steps will help prevent many inconveniences due to frost.
2. Turn off the water heater.
3. Allow the system to cool and depressurize completely.
4. Attach the water blowout adapter to the water system inlet.
   • WARNING: Follow the instructions regarding the maximum working pressure of the water system.
5. Open the Ball Valve to allow air to flow through the system.
6. Drain all water tanks.
7. Open all faucets and drain all pipes to ensure water is completely removed.
   • WARNING: Never drain the water heater if it is still hot or under pressure.
8. Once the system is completely drained, disconnect the water blowout adapter.

Maintenance

Warnings

It is strongly recommended to install a pressure regulator or a SAVEAIR® preset pressure regulator from Series 62 to protect water lines and components from overpressure and prevent possible component failures.
