Our Recruitment Process
Wondering what happens once you’ve submitted your application? Here’s an overview of our process. Of course, depending on the position, some steps may vary slightly. The goal remains the same: to get to know each other and assess whether there is a good match between your experience, your interests, and the opportunity to be filled.
Every application follows a progressive, step-by-step process. At the end of each stage, we evaluate whether to move forward to the next. And throughout the process, we will keep you informed about the progress of your application.
Application Review
Every application we receive is carefully reviewed. If your profile matches the requirements of the role and what we are looking for, we will contact you to move on to the next step.
First Interview
In a short conversation, by phone or via Microsoft Teams, we will discuss:
- What motivated you to apply
- Your interests and experience
- Your salary expectations, to ensure they align with what we offer
- And we will share more information about the role and about Topring
This stage helps confirm mutual interest and allows us to answer your initial questions.
Second Interview
You will meet the hiring Director for the role as well as the Director of Talent & Culture. We will take a deeper look at your experience and interests, and present the role’s responsibilities, current projects, and upcoming initiatives. Your questions are welcome at any time during the interview. This meeting usually takes place in person at our Granby office.
Assessments
For certain positions, we may invite you to complete a few short online assessments. These help us better understand your work style, preferences, and strengths, so we can evaluate the fit with the role and the team.
Third Interview
Depending on the position, this stage can take different forms. You may first meet one of our Co-Presidents and some of your future colleagues. Another part of this interview may also include an exercise, a role-play, or a discussion around real-life scenarios.
The purpose of this step is to help you better picture yourself in the role, while giving us a clearer idea of your expertise level and collaborative approach. For some positions, a third interview is not required.
References & Verifications
We will ask you to provide your professional references. Background checks may also be carried out, depending on the role.
Offer
If you are selected, the hiring Director and the Director of Talent & Culture will contact you to present an offer and discuss the working conditions. Together with you, we will agree on a start date.
Onboarding
Every new hire benefits from a complete, structured onboarding plan. During the first three months, meetings and activities are scheduled to help you fully understand your role, our products, our ways of working, and to build key relationships with team members.
And What About Timing?
The length of the process can vary depending on the role. Different factors can influence it, such as the number of steps involved, candidate availability, and the availability of team members taking part in the process. What matters most to us is taking the time to do things right: clearly presenting the role, the team, and the company, and ensuring your skills and profile align with what we’re looking for. Our goal is simple: to find the right match—the one that allows you to be in your sweet spot and fully thrive.
Diversity & Inclusion
At Topring, we believe that diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives is a true strength. We are committed to offering an inclusive, fair, and respectful recruitment process, where every candidate has a genuine opportunity to stand out.
