The Impact That I Want to Make

May 19, 2023  |  Topring

Over the last two years,  Maxime Boilard of CANU has been coaching our Co-president, Anne-Catherine and our management team on the topics of leadership and communication.  This type of profession and personal development program has helped to create a synergy in a group of individuals with different interests & personalities to achieve success.

At the beginning of May, Anne-Catherine shared her experience of what it was like to take over the company founded by her father as a guest blogger for CANU. In the text co-written with Maxime Boilard, she recounts, among other things, how she brought her color to the management team, as well as the challenges she encountered.

She goes on to say that the implementation of the CANU approach within the company was triggered by three events. What started two years ago with monthly workshops for the management team has now been extended to all members of the Topring team. The goal is to allow all employees to benefit from the tools for better self-awareness and work towards a common goal while taking care of their relationships with the people they care about. An impact that the company hopes will spread beyond Topring.

« Looking back, I realize that I went to great lengths to get the company's management team to explore a different approach. It allowed me to make my mark and help others make theirs. I'm pretty proud of that. » − Anne-Catherine, co-president

What is CANU?

Founded in 2007 by former Olympic canoeist Maxime Boilard, CANU (french only), inspired by the word ''canoe'' and ''Can u?'', is a coaching service for organizations to develop ways of being together in order to give access to the collective intelligence that comes from the heart or the head. Through conferences, workshops, and coaching sessions, Maxime uses his experiences as a former athlete to help experts put themselves at the service of the common good. Among the experiences he brings to his clients, his water simulations on board canoes have quickly become his signature.
